On February 23, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Supreme Spiritual Council meeting convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
 
Before adopting the agenda, the SSC members prayed for the clergymen martyred in the war of Artsakh, following which the Pontiff of All Armenians conveyed His Pontifical Blessings and message to those present, on the occasion of the meeting.

 
During the meeting, the challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh in the post-war situation, as well as, the issues related to the captives and the missing will be the subjects of a private discussion; a reference will be made to the danger of emigration in the current situation, the steps taken to protect and preserve the sanctuaries of Artsakh, issues related to the organization of ritual life and pastoral service of the Church in the post-war and pandemic conditions. The 2020 activity report of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will also be presented; as well as, reports about the organization of National Ecclesiastical Assembly, the process of strengthening and renovation of the Mother Cathedral, the fundraising organized for that purpose, and the productive mission of the Church, will be delivered.
