Renowned Russian Armenian impact investor and social entrepreneur Ruben Vardanyan has been granted Armenian citizenship, and will henceforth be active as a public figure.

Vardanyan informed about this in a video message he released Saturday.

Ruben Vardanyan said that he made the decision to obtain Armenian citizenship after the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war last fall.

"I have decided that I am a master of Armenia and the Armenian world. I realize that by becoming a public figure, I take on a great burden and responsibility; but I see no other way. We must build the ‘future Armenian’ together," he added.
