A new procedure is to be introduced for foreign citizens wishing to visit Artsakh.
09 de Febrero de 2021

The Information and PR Department of the Artsakh FMA has announced that the new procedure will be established in the post-war circumstances, taking into account security concerns.

“Foreign citizens will now have to apply to the Foreign Ministry of Artsakh for a permit to visit. The change concerns both foreign citizens in need of entry visa and those who do not need a visa to arrive in Artsakh.

The data on the applications will be shared with the Russian peacekeeping forces for security reasons.

Foreign citizens with approved requests will be notified and provided the visas at the Permanent Representation of Artsakh Republic in Yerevan, Armenia. After that, they are allowed to travel to Artsakh.

The Foreign Ministry continues working on the procedure to make the term of visa application as short as possible. The visa is provided within 3-4 working days. The process might take longer, in which case the applicants will be notified.

The mechanism is being installed. In recent days, a number of representatives of international media outlets and organizations have already arrived in Artsakh through the new procedure,” the Artsakh MFA said in a press statement.
